This website is operated by Rieko's World (Rebecca Thickbroom 19617426978). Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Rieko's World.
By accessing our website, purchasing from us or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service and any policies referred to in them, including our Privacy Policy and Returns & Exchanges Policy.
Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or placing an order.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
1. Using Our Website
You may use our website only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- use the website in a way that breaches any applicable law;
- attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the website;
- upload or transmit viruses, malicious code or other harmful material;
- collect or misuse another person's personal information;
- use automated systems to scrape or reproduce our website or content without permission; or
- infringe our intellectual property rights or the rights of another person.
We may restrict or suspend access to the website where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or where necessary to protect Rieko's World, our customers or the operation of the website.
2. Products
We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, photographs, colours, dimensions, materials and other information displayed on our website are accurate.
Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen, device, lighting and, where applicable, the nature of handmade or small-batch production.
Product availability may change and products may be discontinued without notice.
Nothing in this section limits your rights if a product does not meet the consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law.
3. Orders
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your order.
You will receive an order confirmation after checkout. We may contact you if we are unable to fulfil an order because of circumstances such as stock availability, an obvious pricing or website error, suspected fraudulent activity or an issue with the information provided with your order.
If we cannot fulfil an order after payment has been taken, we will contact you and provide an appropriate refund.
Please check your order details carefully before completing checkout, including your chosen product, colour, design, personalisation and delivery information.
4. Prices and Payment
Prices displayed on our Australian website are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
Shipping charges and any other applicable costs will be shown during checkout before you complete your purchase.
We may change product prices from time to time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted by us.
Payment is processed through the payment options made available at checkout. Where you choose a third-party payment provider, such as a buy-now-pay-later service, your use of that service may also be subject to the provider's own terms and conditions.
5. Promotions and Discount Codes
From time to time we may offer discounts, promotional codes, bundles, gifts with purchase or other promotional offers.
Unless otherwise stated:
- promotions cannot be combined;
- only one discount code may be used per order where our checkout permits;
- offers apply during the advertised promotional period and while applicable stock is available; and
- discounts cannot generally be applied retrospectively to orders already placed.
Any additional conditions applying to a particular promotion will be communicated with that offer.
6. Personalised and Custom Products
Some Rieko's World products can be personalised or custom-made using names, photographs, images or other information supplied by you.
You are responsible for checking that all names, spelling, photographs, instructions and other personalisation details you provide are correct.
Where we provide a proof or design for approval, you are responsible for reviewing it carefully before giving your approval. Once a personalised or custom design has been approved and production has commenced, changes may not be possible.
Personalised and custom-made items are not eligible for our voluntary change-of-mind return or exchange policy because they have been created specifically for you.
This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law if an item is faulty, damaged, not as described or has been made incorrectly.
Customer-Supplied Photographs, Images and Artwork
If you provide Rieko's World with a photograph, image, artwork or other content for a personalised or custom product, you confirm that:
- you own the content or have all necessary rights and permissions to provide it to Rieko's World and authorise its use;
- the content does not infringe another person's copyright, intellectual property, privacy or other rights; and
- where an identifiable person appears in the content, you have obtained any permission required for the use of their image.
By submitting content to Rieko's World, you grant Rieko's World a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, crop, resize, edit, adapt, publish and display that content:
- to design, create and fulfil your personalised or custom order;
- to display examples of our personalised and custom products;
- on the Rieko's World website and online store;
- on Rieko's World social media accounts;
- in email marketing;
- in digital and print advertising;
- at markets, exhibitions, events and trade shows; and
- in other Rieko's World marketing and promotional material.
This permission also includes the right to photograph, reproduce and use images of the finished product or artwork created from the content you supply.
You will not be entitled to payment, royalties or other compensation for Rieko's World's permitted use of the content.
You retain ownership of any rights you hold in the original photograph, image or artwork. Granting this licence does not transfer ownership of your original content to Rieko's World.
Rieko's World will not sell or license your original customer-supplied photograph or image to an unrelated third party for that third party's independent use.
If you do not have the necessary rights or permissions to provide an image to us, please do not upload or submit it.
7. Digital Downloads
Digital products are supplied for your personal use only unless we expressly agree otherwise.
Purchasing a digital product does not transfer ownership of the design or intellectual property to you.
You must not reproduce, resell, distribute, share, modify for resale or commercially exploit a Rieko's World digital design without our written permission.
Because digital downloads cannot be returned once supplied, they are not eligible for change-of-mind returns or exchanges after delivery.
This does not affect any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
8. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping costs and available delivery options are shown at checkout.
Any delivery timeframe displayed on our website is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date unless we expressly state otherwise.
Delivery may sometimes be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Please ensure your delivery information is accurate when placing your order. If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been dispatched.
If your parcel appears to be significantly delayed, lost or damaged in transit, please contact us so we can assist.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
9. Hassle Free Returns and Exchanges
Our voluntary change-of-mind returns and exchanges are governed by our Returns & Exchanges Policy.
Eligible change-of-mind returns and exchanges may be requested within 30 days of receiving your order, subject to the conditions stated in that policy.
Our voluntary Returns & Exchanges Policy is additional to, and does not replace, your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
10. Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Depending on the circumstances, if a product fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee you may be entitled to a remedy such as a repair, replacement, refund or compensation.
Nothing in these Terms or any other Rieko's World policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify those rights.
11. Gift Cards and Store Credit
Gift cards and store credit may be used subject to any conditions stated when they are issued.
Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.
If store credit is provided as part of an agreed return or gift return, it can be used towards a future Rieko's World purchase in accordance with the conditions attached to that credit.
12. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all content on the Rieko's World website, including our product designs, illustrations, artwork, graphics, photographs, logos, branding, written content and digital products is owned by or licensed to Rieko's World and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Purchasing one of our products does not transfer ownership of our intellectual property.
You may not reproduce, copy, manufacture, distribute, sell, commercially exploit or create products from our designs or content without our prior written permission.
You may share links to our website and share our publicly available social media content using the sharing functions provided by the relevant platform.
13. Reviews, Comments and Customer Content
If you voluntarily submit a product review, comment or other content for publication on our website, you give us permission to display that content in connection with Rieko's World and the relevant product or service.
You must not submit content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, abusive, infringing or that violates another person's privacy or intellectual property rights.
We may moderate or remove content where we reasonably believe it breaches these Terms or applicable law.
Customer photographs, videos or other user-generated content will not be used by Rieko's World for advertising or promotional purposes unless appropriate permission has been obtained.
14. Third-Party Services and Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use services provided by third parties, including Shopify, payment providers, delivery providers and social media platforms.
Those third parties may have their own terms, privacy policies and conditions.
We are not responsible for the content of external websites that we do not operate.
Nothing in this section limits any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Website Availability and Errors
We try to keep our website available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee that it will always operate without interruption or technical error.
We may correct genuine typographical, pricing, product description or technical errors when they are identified.
If an error affects an order you have placed, we will contact you and deal with the order reasonably and in accordance with applicable law.
16. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rieko's World is not responsible for loss arising solely from circumstances outside our reasonable control or from misuse of our website or products contrary to supplied instructions.
However, nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia and applicable Commonwealth laws.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or protections available to you under laws that cannot be excluded.
